Hi all,
not sure whether this is the right forum - please notify me if not!
I'm trying too hook my old LaserWriter 4/600 PS (slow, but works like a charm) up to a laptop running Windows XP. The problem is, Windows XP does not support AppleTalk, and AFAIK the LaserWriter speaks nothing else. Usually I connect it to my MBP using an Asante AppleTalk-to-Ethernet adapter.
I found this thread on Apple's discussion pages and copied the relevant files. I enables AppleTalk as a protocol on the network card's properties, selected it as the connection for the printer - but I still cannot print.
Am I missing something? Anyone who managed to get it to work? I appreciate any suggestions...
