I inherited a LaserWriter Select and have tried in vain to set it up (I also inherited the Asanté talk used to connect it to my wireless router). It worked fine with the Leopard set-up of the previous owner, but it won't do thing for me under Snow Leopard. Is there an incompatibility here, or does the printer just not like me?

Is yours the Laserwriter Select 360? Do you have a parallel connector on the back? If so, get a USB-parallel adapter cable, and it should work. (Or even better, get a parallel print server and make it a network-connected printer)

Basic incompatibility is that Snow Leopard doesn't support appletalk at all.
