Last 2 icons next to Trash icon.

Hi, i'm new to Mac and im just learning all the features. I bought the 15" mid macbook pro and this laptop is awesome. However, i accidentally deleted the last 2 icons next to the trash icon. I know that you can retrieve icons by going to the application and dragging them to the dock. But the last 2 icons i believe is something different. I forgot the name of the icons as well but i know it has something to do with recent activities or some sort. Can somebody help me retrieve them. Thanks.

Those are your stacks: Downloads and Documents.

Unfortunately I don't know how to get them back.

You can drag these folders - or any others - from a Finder window to that end of the Dock.

Doh! I didn't realize you could create your own stacks!

Oh yeah - I even moved my network drive to the Dock as a stack as well.

Those last two icons are called Stacks. The two default ones are downloads and documents. To get the documents stack back, enter finder and in the left hand sidebar, there should be something called documents. Drag that name into the dock and there is your documents stack. To get the downloads stack back, enter the finder and go into the folder (left side bar) with the home icon next to it. Once you are inside that folder, fin the folder that says downloads. Drag he name of the folde into the dock and Ther is your downloads stack.
