Did anyone else get that email from Apple on Sunday saying today was the last chance to order online and get the goods by Christmas?

Okay, so I ordered a few bits and pieces yesterday (printer, iPod shuffle, cables), choosing stuff that was in stock and said 'delivery 24 hours'.

I just checked the order status: the estimated delivery date is January 18th

So, eh, what was that ad about? Did it only apply to the USA? But I'm registered on the Irish store.

Am I missing something here (apart from my printer, iPod shuffle, cables), or was that ad a touch misleading?

Update: Just rang Apple about the above and when I told the very nice lady the delivery date she said:

"OH MY GOD!!!!"

:D Hilarious.

Any way, she reckoned one of the items must have been out of stock, despite what it said on the website, so she's going to ask them to ship what they have, rather than wait for everything.

Excellent stuff.

So you may get most of your order before Christmas, I wonder where it ships from?
