last gen MBP vs current MB.

i like the led on the MBP but whats the diff vs the ucrrent gen MB

i can get the MBP from last gen for 1,499...

is the MBP last gen faster than the 2.4 MB of this gen

basically.

whats the diff between the last gen MBP and the current gen MB

The latest MBP (Penryn) 2.5 and 2.6 have 6M L2 Cache vs. the older model (Santa Rosa) only has 4M. If your looking to purchase a 2.4 Penryn, I would recommend getting the Santa Rosa version since the new one only has 3M L2 Cache vs. Santa Rosa which has 4M.

But remember that a lot of people are having Sleep Issues on a SR model.

There are several differences between the MBP and the MB. In case you want to compare the current models against each other check out the following as it has a section called "Key features in the new MacBook Pro models versus MacBook models"

It might be helpful if you told us a little about what you would use it for so we can tell you the differences that would matter to you. :)
