Last rev g5 imac screens. How are they?

I'm thinking of getting a last rev 17" g5 imac. I'm using crt at the moment and I know it won't be as good but I want some reassurance that it doesn't have any known issues.

Is it safe to assume that the current intel imac screens are better than the last rev g5 imac screens, or not?

A separate question, how quiet are the last rev g5 imacs, compared to say an emac.

Well, I own the 20" iMac G5 iSight model and all I can say is: it is nothing short of a fantastic machine. The display is clear and crisp. I don't know exactly how it compares to the Intel. However, in terms of it being quiet, I know it is pretty quiet. http://www.macintouch.com/imacisight.html might help you out a little. Is it safe to assume the intel screens are better? Well, I do not know for sure but it would not be a deal breaker if the prices are close.
