I installed last security update from Apple and now Java applets don't run in Safari at all. It's ****ing awesome! Cool ****ing guys from Apple found the solution, ****ing bastards!
 
Hello, same problem for me too here ... so annoying ... !

Think they pushing us (with old and unsported machines) to windows 7 or linux distros ... !

Firefox with java is ok ...

What is more weird to me is that now Safari became part of the MacOS X system, you won't be able to remove it without super user rights.
I solved the problem with Java applets by removing the Safari and all his content from HD and installing over Combined update 10.7.5 again and now I have Safari 6.0.2 with last java from Oracle and applets works again.
