I've just received a refurbished 27" (Late 2012) iMac base model with one upgrade - the Fusion drive.
Now with the updated 2013 model, I am thinking of exchanging for the base 27" model. It doesn't have the Fusion drive, but has a faster CPU, AC Wifi and a better video card.
Would you keep the previous year or exchange for the 2013 and pay about $100 upgrade?
Trying to decide....

I would run as fast as I can towards the next apple store waving that $100 bill in the air while praying this offer is still valid

Cool. So the newer upgrades are better than not having a Fusion drive? I would think so in my case.
