Looks like Apple's Mail.app, however on the website. When you view email on the web the last thing you need is all the flash and jazz and you want something simple and effective, so that you do not have to wait minutes for for inbox to load, reload, etc...

Nice idea, however Google has it down. ;) :)

If you have broadband then its less of an issue, however many people use dial-up as the only way to connect to the internet and other use it during business trips. It might even cause a problem if you have WiFi. Thus Gmail is perfect as far as UI goes. ;) :)
 
I didn't read through every word...but so this is a flash-based webmail, right? How is it going to support mobile devices? I guess there is flash in WM5 on my Axim, but gah... I dunno about that. The support of Flash on Symbian and on WM5 and probably on PalmOS is pretty limited....
