Late 08 mbp won't turn on

I get up this morning and my laptop won't come alive. I've tried resetting the pram to no avail. The battery is fully charged, the thing is plugged in... When I push the power button it comes on for a second though, and turns off again once I let it go. So I can hold it and hear the hdd and SuperDrive spin up , which is kind of nice. What do I do?

Also I would gladly search for this same issue but I'm on my iPhone and vb hates mobile safari
