Late 2008 and Mountain Lion

Hello, before making the move from Lion to Mountain Lion I would like to know about the experience of other users.
Is your Mac running slower? The same? or faster?
Impact on Battery performance?
Overheating?
Any hiccups?
Any regrets?
Mine has 8GB RAM and a 256 GB SSD.

i have a late 2008 2.4ghz macbook with hdd 4gb ram, and it's now faster than my retina in ML.

I'm running it on my late 2009 13" MacBook Pro, upgraded to 8GB RAM, and it runs very well. I was worried that the low end nVidia 9400M would cause slowdowns, but it's doing just fine.

Battery life is a little lower than it used to be, but to be totally honest I think that has more to do with the age of the computer than the OS. I just checked and I'm getting close to 500 charge cycles, so I'm sure that has something to do with it.

Those two thing will definitely help improve your ML performance. Overall, most users have reported better performance under ML when doing a clean install. Try it out.
