As above. The ethernet port in my late 2009 27" iMac has failed.

Looking for (known working options) USB / Ethernet options until funds permit a new machine.

I have a generic usb / ethernet dongle that works, or seems to work one way, but as soon as it is taxed a little too much it craps out. WiFi is just too slow.

Any firewire / ethernet gubbins out there?

Have you tried any of the stuff in this forum?

I used a D-Link on my late 2009 iMac until I had time to bring it in for service and had no issues. Another choice would be the Apple USB to Ethernet Adapter.
