I replaced the (upgraded) HD4850 (512MB) card about 6 months ago, as well as replacing the Seagate 1TB (recalled) HD.

Its Dying AGAIN. I have 5 giant grey lines going down my screen. I hate having to lug this giant thing down to an Apple store but i think i'm going to have to...

If it's not covered with a warrantee, which iMac do I go for? Screen size isn't a big deal for me, but I do like to game. Diablo 3, WoW, plus i'm thinking of going Bootcamp/W8, eventually. I don't know if there's a big difference between the 750/755 1GB cards. (750M in 21.5" / 755M in the 27")

I went all-out for this iMac, upgraded everything - from i5 to i7, from default 256 graphics card to 512, from 4gb ram to 8gb. Everything.

I don't feel like spending another $2700+

I wish  made the 21.5" User-upgradable. I could wait on the RAM.

So, do I go 21.5"--16GB RAM--1TB FUSION--750M 1GB for $1899 or
27"--8GB RAM--1 TB FUSION--755M 1GB for $1999

or do i leave the base 1TB (5400RPM) Base in them (7200RPM in 27") and try to find an external USB 3.0 SSD somewhere? Can they be found for $200 or less?

as i see it, the 1GB graphics is double what i have now, so no real need to go up to the 2GB or even 4GB!

I hate having to do this. My iPhone 4 is also bugging the hell out of me, I have to press the Home button like 18 times before it responds. All i really wanted to do was just keep it to use as a phone and get a new iPad Mini (when it eventually comes out - hopefully soon - & hopefully with the A7, not the A6) and I would've been a happy camper...

But now i have to deal with this. Please help, any advice is welcome.
