late 2009 early 2010 MBP SSD Woes

My mbp has an original APPLE 128GB SSD. It's performance is actually slower than a 7200rpm drive. And with no trim support (even with trying to force it with trim enabler) I have no idea how to restore it's performance. I have tried repartitioning, erasing, nothing seems to be able to bring it back to life. I see some util people suggest but at $40 for something I may not use again (now that I have my MBA), can anyone offer any suggestions?

Genius bar might be able to help you event though it's out of warrenty, if you ask nicely [and offer a box of chocolates and a free meal and etc].
