i just bought the imac 21.5 inch with ati radeon 4670 and the base spec.

after few hours of playing with this new toy. i realise that when you press the shutdown button, it will put the imac to sleep instead of showing the shutdown/restart option that i have on my macbook. Is there any way to make it work like a macbook power button.

secondly, whenever my imac wake up after sleeping, the fan will run faster and automatically went to sleep again. this issue just keep repeating itself. i have no choice but to shutdown the imac and boot up again.

Thirdly, i try the machine on WoW and i realise that the sound is rather choppy .

Anyone know the fix for the above problems?

1. Nope, you can only force it to shut down by holding it for few secs but that's not recommended. Why don't you use keyboard shortcut for that (command-option-control-eject) or just sleep it?

2. Try SMC reset

3. Are you using internal speakers or 3rd party?
