Ok, so this is my first post here, although this forum has saved me more times than I can remember
Anyway, to the point.
After installing Mavericks - my computer would start shutting down when the battery would be somewhere around 20-30%. The weird thing is that sometimes I would be able to turn on after a shutdown like this and kill the battery completely, and sometimes it would turn on only after being plugged in.
I thought that this is probably a bug of some sort that would get fixed in some time, so I didn't worry about fixing it.
But now, after turning off again due to low battery, my computer won't boot macOS. It turns on, makes the sound and then, almost instantly, shuts down.
I have an SSD installed in place of the native hard drive, and I moved the hard drive to the optibay. I have windows installed on the computer as well as macOS on the SSD, and where macOS shuts down the computer - windows boots just fine.
Ah, I replaced the battery about 6-7 months ago, so it should still be in good shape.
So the question is - why would Mavericks ruin my systems battery interpretation, why won't MacOS load, when Windows does (the are on different partitions of the same SSD), and how do I go about fixing this?
I've tried resetting the NVRAM, and SMC - no effect.
Many thanks in advance!
