which one is better, having late 2010 15" macbook pro or top of the line 2011 model?

also will facetime in HD work on the 2010's?

Everything else equal, yes, simple logic would tell you it's better to have the newest iteration of the Macbook Pro, granted that it's hardware has improved since the last refresh. However, "better" is extremely subjective. Better in what way?

As for facetime HD, I'm sure it will be supported, but a 2010 MBP cannot utilize HD because of it's crappy resolution iSight.
