Recently, my mac didn't boot properly so I decided to do a re-flow on the logic board. It went successful. The built in keyboard & track pad worked well at that time! I noticed I misplaced the back-light for the keyboard. I went ahead and tried fixing that by removing the logic board, disk drive, etc to get access to the back-light. After when I reassemble the mac, I attempted a jump start for a easy way to see if I fixed the back-light. Randomly, the connector area for the keyboard smoked a little. Immediately, I unplugged every power source including the battery. I gave it a break then gave power again. Now, the keyboard & track-pad isn't responsive what so ever. I know there is a connection with the keyboard since the power button works. I can use the mac normally with external mouse & keyboard. Is there a possibility that I fried something that makes the keyboard & track-pad don't work? What are the chances of getting keyboard & track to work if I get new replacements? What are the suggestions of trying to get this to work?
