Hey everyone, I just upgraded my MBP to 16gb of RAM from Crucial and my machine is lagging. Any suggestions? Before the upgrade I was running ~7000 on geek bench, now I'm running ~6700. The computer recognizes them both, so I know they're in right. Thanks for any ideas.

I reset PRAM and SMC. I'm up to 7149, but I would think I would see a little bit more of an increase in the score. And the comp feels a little slow. Checking out NVRAM now. TY for the response

EDIT: I guess when I reset the PRAM I reset the NVRAM?

Your Mac stores certain settings in a special memory area even if it is turned off (unless there is a battery issue as described below). On Intel-based Macs, this is stored in memory known as NVRAM; on PowerPC-based Macs, this is stored in memory known as PRAM.
