CPU bump for the 15" models to 2.4Ghz and 2.5GHz, probably Bluetooth 4.0 too. Nothing else new likely, I think - minor possibility of an increase in hard drive size to 1Tb (5400rmp) / 750 (7200rpm), but I doubt it. I don't think the 13" models will change at all.

If they fixed the issue with SATA III not working properly in the Optibay on the 15" models, that would be nice - all MBPs are currently fitted for SATA III in the optibay, but this only currently works properly on the 13" model.

Wow 1Tb as standard would be awesome.

But for the 2012 MBP WAS only 250Gb for the base model and the 2011 had the 320Gb harddrive.

They can solve this problem with better shielding of the cable (SATA III uses higher frequencies than SATA I & II). But why should they do that? The optibay-mod is an unsupported modification (AFAIK). That a controller supports SATA III, does not mean the cables support it.

Upgrades that have a very high probability:
1. Faster CPU
2. Better Power Supply ( the 2011 MBP is very power hungry as it drains 2 times more power than the 2010 MBP. The current power supply can't deliver enough power )

Possibilities
3. Redesign
4. Flash + HDD ( there isn't enough room for a SSD + HDD, but Flash modules should work )

If so, hope they don't make the power supply much bigger or heavier. I remember some of the pre-2008 power bricks being very large.

I very much doubt either of the above. Better graphics would be more likely, but I don't think this will happen either.

I hope better graphic cards for the 15".

Not likely to see that this year, there's nothing new to put in. AMD was supposed to release the 7000 series parts at the end of the year but probably won't have a mobile variant out in time.

Current component availability, Apple tradition and knowledgeable beliefs indicate screen resolutions improvements, USB 3.0, Bluetooth 4.0, major redesigns, dGPUs on the 13'' version and SuperDrive removals will all have to wait until 2012.

I doubt we'll see anything but a simple (and worthless-to-wait-for) CPU bump.

hahahah theres no redesign this year.

It'll be until Q2 2012 before we can expect a redesign, if there is one at all. I currently really like the unibody design and don't see a reason to redesign it unless it's necessary to fit new components inside.

I'd like USB 3.0, better graphics, and 1920x1200 AG on the 15", those alone would sway me towards buying a new MBP.
