Hi guys,
I got a 27" late 2012 iMac, I play games once a while & got myself some new headphones, the gaming sound experience has excelled big time as the iMac inbuilt speakers are flat in sound, I noticed that i can't leave the headphones plugged in my iMac all the time as it won't let me choose the sound out from the sound settings between "headphone & "inbuilt speakers so i have to unplug the headphones from the iMac, i heard there being headphone port issues on the earlier models of the iMac & i don't want to damage my headphone input jack in my iMac in anyway so i m in a fix, are the new late 2012 slim line iMac more durable with their headphone jacks? any help would be great.

Thanks..

Not trying to make you paranoid, but they're actually a little bit worse. I wouldn't worry too much about it, but if it's going to be something that keeps you up at night, switch to a usb dac or get a pair of bluetooth headphones.
