Hi,

The past couple of days my iMac has been spinning up its fans whilst using safari. This has never happened before. It is well looked after and whilst its idle temps have gone up a bit since it was new it never has heat issues.

Nothing has changed over the past few days apart from it auto installing the supplemental MacOS update the other day. It is on 10.13.3. There are no other issues and as far as I can see safari is using up to 30% CPU, 2GB or ram and all the GPU memory. Temps hit 64c before the fans go higher than the idle 1200.

I have force quit everything and restarted it and it is still doing it. Worst offender seems to be youtube.......

Anything I can do? Thanks for the help!

Well, think I found the culprit..........
