Dear Forum,
Ive tried 3 different mdp to hdmi adapters, all active, and my mac mini 2012 i7 2.6ghz thinks every monitor is a tv through this route. Ive even used each of these adapters through 2 different hdmi 2.0 cables.
these adapters and cables work fine with my MBP 2012.
can anyone help? I want to use the mac mini with a 4k tv that has a 1440p native resolution, a few samsung tvs do this.
But not matter what i do the max output in 1080p. tried switchrex which says its doing 1440p but still both the TV and 1440p monitor all says 1080p.
Thanks
