Could a late 2012 Mac Mini take 2x 16GB SODIMM so go up to 32GB? 16GB is barely enough for a few Chrome tabs these days!
Crucial seem to do one Crucial CT204864BF160B 16 GB - or a 32GB kit for $200 CT2KIT204864BF160B

These computers only support up to 16GB. I don’t believe 16GB DIMMs will work either.

I have not found any person actually installs a 16GB stick or two and reports the result. But...

This site says "no" ( https://macminicolo.net/blog/files/can-the-mac-mini-be-upgraded-to-32GB-of-RAM.html )
The reason, they say, is the mini needs a firmware update from Apple that contains new Memory Reference Code. But there is no new firmware from them (and probably won't be).

OWC is a company that likes to offer this kind of upgrade (things beyond manufacturer's specs) if possible.
But there is no 32GB kit for the 2012 on their web site.
