Hello all! I am one of the many holding off on upgrading to the new pros and waiting for the next refresh. I am in need of a good second monitor in the $1000 or less, ~25-30" screen and compatible with the new USB-C standards but will also work within the limitations of my current system, a 13" MacBook Pro Retina, late 2012 model.

I looked under the LG offerings that Apple is endorsing but there doesn't seem to be a clear answer on how they work with these old systems. Any advise? I am a graphic designer FYI. Thanks all!

You might want to take a look at the LG 34uc98. Lots of real estate and excellent reviews on Amazon. I'm strongly considering it.
