Late 2013 15" 2.3ghz 16gb 512ssd gt750 2 gb $2039 refurb

Vs.

Mid 2014 15" 2.5ghz 16gb 512ssd gt750 2gb $2500

Other than the savings of $461? Is there any meaningful difference??? Reliability ???

I'm into photo editing with RAW files. No gaming.

Thanks for any guidance you care to share.

No difference.

The 0.2 GHz CPU bump is negligible for all practical purposes.

Same PCIe SSD, same 1333 MHz RAM, same quad-core Haswell architecture, same 6 MB L3 cache, same GPUs, no significant differences at all.

Go with the 2013. Think no further.

(Btw: you don't need such a highly speced machine just for editing raw files)

Thank you for your answer. I'm not very tech savvy so thought I should ask before pulling the trigger in case I was missing something important. Late 2013 it is.

Thank you for your response. I'm purposely buying more than I currently need as I plan on this lasting me many years (with any luck) and hopefully won't have to replace due to being out of spec anytime soon.

Best wishes,
