I have an intermittent fault on an A1502 EMC2678...

No response to the power key at all - or so it seems*. Tried PRAM and SMC resets, tried full charge power ups, disconnecting the battery etc. It just behaving like a total brick.

The first time this happened, I removed and re-seated the SSD and this solved it for nearly 8 months.

This time I can't get any life out of it.

* a very faint click on and off (like a relay) in the SSD corner can be heard when using the power key. You need to get your ear right in there to hear it. If I remove the SSD module the clicking goes away (still no boot or power).

Any thoughts from the experienced and wise ones of MacRumors? Is it simply dead SSD? Do you think it's time to get an adapter and normal M.2 or replace with a third party?
