I have a late 2013 rMBP. The battery health is at 90%. So, I don't REALLY need to replace the battery.

However, my sweat has eaten away at the top case (I have acid sweat apparently!). It is just cosmetic, but if I could get 10% battery back and a new top case for 200 bucks, I'd probably do it.

Can anyone confirm whether or not the battery placement includes the entire top case being replaced?

Thanks!

That is why I decided to purchase a palm guard by Moshi when I bought my latest MBP because it makes a huge difference. If it's purely cosmetic, maybe you should consider installing a palm guard until your battery truly needs replacement, then you can do both together.
