HI Members, i am sorry and am certainly not the first one to mention the issue but here is my little story of a guy who feels idiot to have purchased a 3000 dollars computer and feels terribly disapointed.

I purchased a late 2013 27 Imac, has latest OS version, and 32 Gigs of Crucial memory. i 7 core 3.4, 3 TB hard drive, 32 gigs crucial mem. still covered by apple care

it has worked flawlessly until late december 2014, where my screen turned black twice suddenly. It seemed the power was still on but i could not power it on or off with the rear button.

Apple had me doing some reboots and SMC tricks but issue started again.

i dropped it to apple store, and they came back to me stating this was my third party ram, causing the trouble.

I dropped it to an Apple partner who ran some tests again and came to the conclusion that the RAM was faulty.

Bought some new crucial memory, dropped the new boxes to the Apple partner and they installed it for me. a good 330 dollars investment.

less than a month after issue stated again after my son downloaded and strted to use Rome game. Computer suddenly went black again (can't be sure it was runing) and on/off button use had no effect.

I unplugged again, and could restart. Started working some photos with dxo Optics Pro, Photoshop and Dxo Film pack5, and the computer crashed again. Black screen again.

did not restart it and brought it back again as is to the Apple Partner.

call them today and they say they find nothing wrong.

i have to say i am scratching my head here. I switched everything to Apple thinking i would have a reliable computer for a long time, but for the first time ever have i so many issues with a computer.

for as much as i hate windows OS i never had a crashing PC, including with the ones i upgraded myself.

Last thing that maybe of help, the computer is plugged on a Surge protector that includes a Battery.

thanks for any help, and anybody who can help me keeping the faith into the Apple
