late 2013 imac/logitech z550 help

so this is my first imac got the 27 coming monday love my speakers but how could one use them with his imac?what cable etc?

also anything else i should buy for my imac as i have a 100 gift card to be used?

just did research saying it has optical i didn't notice that but can someone confirm thanks
 
Digital output is through the headphone jack via a mini-toslink.

You then use a regular toslink optical cable.

Its just a piece of plastic and likely identical to what BB sells. Monoprice sells the same thing for $0.89 and I would trust them with my left kidney when it comes to cables and adapters. Best Buy charges $8 because its there, in the store. Otherwise its the same thing.

Probably not great for constant plugging/unplugging or travel, but OP don't need that.

fair point - i think it is the apple snob inside me that expects things so cheap must have a higher propensity to fail!
