I have a 5 year old Mac Bbok Pro obviously way out of warranty. I’ve been noticing a cloudy looking screen around the bezel and coming into the screen viewing area. This was all the way around. Thought it was smudges or something like that and when I tried to clean it, I saw it wasn’t coming off.
I called Apple support knowing the best I can hope for is a repair at a reasonable cost. After talking to the level 2 support he mentioned there was a program to replace Mac Book Pros screen with this type of problem for free. He said it expired 6 months ago but he’s going to cover the repair under that program anyways. How amazing is that. It’s 5 years old and he went out of his way to get it fixed complements of Apple. He also sent me his direct number and email and said he would follow up in a week to make sure everything is taken care of properly.
I can’t think of one other technology company that treats their customers like that. It’s also not the first time Apple has gone the extra mile for me.
Had to share this. We often read about the bad stories These types of stories aren’t mentioned enough.
