Hi Everyone,

I am looking at upgrading my mac in the next few weeks.

I have had a late 2013 inch macbook 15 inch with i7, 512GB, 16GB of ram and the batrry cicle count is like 800 or something on it as it has been used quite a lot from day 1. It was a open box model that someone had returned

At times it randomly shuts off with over heating when playing football manager on it.

I have used the lateist model that we got for users in work and i do like the new force touch pad on it but hit and miss with the new keybaord as its very like my mothers 12 inch mac keyboard and i have a love hate with it.

Now is it worth the upgrade as in Ireland i am going to be looking at spending 2500 euros for it.

How is the new 4GB GPU in it compare to the 2GB GPU in my old model ?.

As I need the i7 and 16GB of ram as football manager eats that kind of stuff alive.

Nonsense football manager will run on any mac built in the last 10 years system requirements even for FM 2017 are ridiculously low.

From the Football Manager website for 2017

System requirements

OS: 10.7.5, 10.8.5, 10.9.5, 10.10.5, 10.11.6, 10.12 – 64-bit

Intel Core 2 - 1.8GHz or higher

NVidia GeForce 8600M GT, AMD/ATI Radeon HD 2400, Intel GMA X3100 - 256MB VRAM Fully OpenGL 2.0 compliant

2 GB RAM, 3 GB Available Space

Buy whatever you want just about any modern computer will run this game no issues.

There are even IOS and android versions for your phone or tablet it really will run on anything.
