Hey Everyone,

I have a Late 2013 MacBook Pro with a newer battery installed (2017). Screenshot below with all the relevant details:
My Question:
I've noticed over the past few months, even though I have a newer battery (Less than 500 load-cycles), i'm still getting pretty bad battery life. From a full charge to almost dead is probably in the neighborhood of 6 hours. I am using MacOS Catalina and I don't have too much extra stuff open. This machine is just used for browsing so things like Safari, Chrome, Mail, etc. is the apps that I mainly have open (Basic web surfing stuff).

Any thoughts on what might be going on? I don't think it is necessarily an issue with the actual battery, since it's barely 3 years old, so I figure I'd ask the rest of the community for some ideas and feedback.

TIA.

Battery life is dependent on the number of charge cycles and age of the battery. A new battery that isn't used for years will see its maximum capacity decrease.

Although the MacBook's battery has 500 cycles, it lost a bit over 10% of it's maximum capacity and it was made three years ago. I don't think it's unusual to have a run time of 6 hours.
