Late 2013 Macbook Pro retina - can I have a larger ssd put in?

OWC said they don't have it for that model, but thought that one could in fact be installed? Anyone know if that's true? thanks!!

Apple has been using proprietary SSD connectors for the past few years, really since retina. Having said that it is possible to swap it out for a larger one if you can find it. if OWC doesn't make one for that model try ebay or other sites to see if anyone is selling just the part.

Thanks for the info! So do you imagine it would be a tricky thing to be doing, and not really recommended? I'm deciding whether to buy one used that has a 256 and I would prefer a 500 gig ssd.

You can only buy one on eBay that's been pulled from another machine.
