Late 2013 Macbook Pro (Retina) - Reinstall OS X installs non-latest version (10.9.4)

On my Late 2013 Macbook Pro (Retina), I just reinstalled OS X via OS X Recovery, and the version it's installed is 10.9.4 for some reason.

10.9.5 has been out for 10 days now, any reason why it would have installed 10.9.4 instead?

just go to Updates on Mac App Store and update to 10.9.5.

I thought OSX Recovery installed the as-shipped version?
