I have a late 2013 MBP 15'' Retina. A couple weeks ago, the screen started to get vertical lines flashing on the screen. See the attached picture for an example of what it looks like. The vertical lines typically appear after the computer is in use for some time. The display works perfectly fine for sometime after I start using it, but then the lines start to appear. I found that if I twisted the lid or pressed on the middle of the black bar that connects the lid to the computer, the lines would go away. The longer the computer is running, the harder it is to get the lines to go away, so the problem seems to be related to or worsened by heat somehow. The problem seems to be getting worse as the days go by. An external display works fine.

I'm hoping to get some guidance on whether the problem is likely related to the data display cable, the lcd screen and display assembly, something on the logic board, or something entirely different. I'm happy to try replacing the data display cable, but I've read that since there is any image at all it is likely not related to the cable.

Any information or guidance I can get on this issue would be greatly appreciated.
