I’ve been using my late 2013 MacBook Pro 15” (8gb/256/i7 2.0) quite happily since I purchased it from a colleague in circa 2016. It had a broken screen so I ordered a replacement and fixed it up.
It’s been great, I love the design and it’s just got on with whatever I’ve needed it for: light video editing, light games, GarageBand etc.
Well, due to not being able to get the latest OS officially anymore and wanting to encode videos a little faster, I found myself looking at newer MacBook Airs.
Found a great one on eBay from an office, 16gb ram, 512 SSD, 8 core GPU and only 85 battery cycles for about £500.
It arrived the next day and I can’t believe how times have changed, I know I’m a bit behind but the Air just wizzes through tasks and feels like a new era of computing to me.
I do wish I’d bought an air sooner now, perfect little computer for me.
