Late 2013 rMBP 13" Storage upgrade

Originally came with 120GB SSD that is now full. (such little space)
What are the pros and cons for doing the OWC SSD upgrade that seems too pricey?
Has anyone use the SD card option? How is the speed on that?
Any other ideas? Thanks!
