You have your phone (or something) connected via USB? Pull it out and try again?

Try closing the lid and opening again and see if it comes back up?

nothing is connected to it except my 3.5mm jack for my speakers and the magsafe. closing the lid and opening up the lid DOES work...but..thats just "avoiding" the problem...dont u think?

hmm... I don't think that is avoiding the problem.
Could be that the hardware is not sending the correct signals to wake your screen.
Have you updated all the firmware etc?

btw, in your video, I see something connected on the right hand side. That's not a usb device?
 
I had the exact same issue on mine. Used to take forever for the screen to wake. But since updating to Yosemite, not had a single issue.

i tried installing the late 2013 for retina obv...and it says the software is not supported on this sys lol..???
