This has only happened twice, both times when I open the Macbook in the morning after charging it overnight (and it happened 2 times consecutively, yesterday and today).

But it is a bit annoying.

I open the Macbook from sleep, and the spinning beach ball is there for about 20-30 seconds. On activity monitor, it says finder and safari are using 99.9% CPU each.

I can't open safari or anything really until the beach ball goes away.

Previously, the Macbook had an uptime of 32 days. Ive restarted it after the second beach ball on wake this morning, so I don't know if that will fix it or not. However, I make sure to clean up what is and isn't running on my Mac, so I doubt it will do much.

The only things that I have running all the time are finder (obviously), safari, and mail. Oftentimes steam as well.

8gb of ram, 2.6gHz i5 model. Any idea what could be causing this?
