Hi All,

I've been waiting to upgrade a late 2013 13 Inch MB Pro for quite some time and since today saw the spec bump I think its go-time.

I operate a small real estate business and use the machine for Tons of Email (Outlook), all MS Office apps (Excel and Word constantly) , a bunch of Safari windows and heavy use of iMessage....all of this open at the same time.

Should I get the i5 or the i7?
8gb ram or 16gb

Finally...on my current machine, according to the disk utility, I am using 130gb of 256gb. I store almost everything on Dropbox and only keep my heaviest used folders online. Is it worth going to 512?

Thanks in advance.

Just my opinion, but those tasks aren't really tough on a cpu, so you should be fine with the i5. As for the ram, that is up to you and you would be fine either way, but I always get a little more then I need if I can.

Entry level machine is fine. I wonder if your 2013 machine isn’t enough?
What is your memory pressure and CPU saying under disk utility?

U mean you keep ur heavily used folders offline...
