I can get a 2015 refurb from the Apple store for

$1269

Or an excellent condition used from a local seller

$850

Is there any reason to spend the extra on the newer model? I realize its probably a little faster, and has a warranty, but in real world use, much difference?

Thanks!

The sequential SSD speeds are 2x as fast and the graphics are better by a fair margin also you get the force touch trackpad. Without any info on what you use it for its impossible to say wether this will impact you at all. If gaming is on the agenda the newer the better.

Ok, thats good to know. I will be using it for xCode, 3D, Unity, web, email, and maybe some light gaming but not alot. I have better solutions for that :)

EDIT: Nevermind, misread it as Early 2013. The differences aren't that big between the Late 2013 to the 2015. It depends on how much SSD speed, Force touch, and the extra GPU power mean to you.

I am going to check out the late 2013. With the updates "coming soon" I think it makes sense to spend a little less and resell when they do come out if i feel compelled to upgrade again. Thanks!
