Hi,

For a friend of mine (truly), I need to get some data off of the internal SSD of a late 2016 Maxbook Pro 13” with no Touch Bar (model A1708, laptop does not startup due to damage). This type does not have to SSD soldered, but removable. Unfortunately, it looks like Apple created their own connector since I’m unable to find an adapter from the SSD (which is a PCI-e 22/34 pin interface) to either USB or SATA. Is this true, or didn’t I spend enough time looking? Hope anyone can help.

The other option of finding an other similar machine and just swapping the drives has been considered, but I do not know anyone with a similar machine. And since it is a relatively new machine, second hand is still pricy and hard to find.

Many thanks in advance.

Kind regards,

Sheppie
