ram and ssd size are the same.
processor is higher on the entry level touch bar version, but not sure if I'll really notice 2.0 vs 2.7 in every day activity.

but the price difference between the two is huge

is the touch bar version worth it over the non touch?
 
nope, unless you need more ports but you can buy a multi port dongle for that

TB version has a smaller battery (life) too
 
This topic has been beaten to death here. Some think it's worth it and some don't. It depends on what you're looking to do with the computer.
 
If your priority is battery life, go for the non TB

If you need more ports, go for TB

If you want to use this model for the next 4-6 years, assume the TB premium as a 50 cent daily fee to future proof your purchase.

You are getting Touch iD, TB shortcuts, a faster CPU, double the ports... for me, it's worth the investment YMMV
