My late 08 MBP is freezing for some reason so hard that I have to hold the power button to make it restart. Earlier today I was burning CD's, working through a 52 file HandBrake queue, surfing the web, playing music and running three torrents all at once, no problems. I was actually quite amazed, nothing I've ever owned would take this kind of crap so well.
But now I'm only running iTunes, Safari, iCal and Transmission. I'll go to switch from iTunes to safari or anything else I'm running and the app I go to freezes. Then I try to go back then that one freezes. I right click on the dock icon and it says "Application not responding," I try to force quit, nothing. It just sticks, the dock freezes, then the finder, then suddenly it's only playing music and that's how I got to the third hard boot tonight. I just installed the Bluetooth and safari update and that's the only thing I can think of but that was yesterday. Has anyone else had this problem? It's not from a torrent or a porn site because I'm not stupid enough to just type in my admin password
. Any help would be great, I'm really frustrated since I haven't been dealt this kind of crap since I owned a Dell.
