Late08 MBP - 9600 full time = bad?

Hi all, I'm the proud new owner of a 2.8 MBP and was wondering if it is detrimental to have the MBP running on the 9600 all the time (my mbp spends 90% of the time on a desk plugged in)..
I do like to occasionally pop into World of Warcraft several times a day and hate having to restart everytime..

Why would Apple design the laptop not to run solely on the 9600M GT? Don't worry.
