Hi, I'm having problems with my new MBP bought around 20 december. It sometimes freezes, "hangs" up, when Im trying to turn it of from the menu, and then i have to force quit it by holding the powerbutton. What could be causing this? This is usually after ive had it just in sleep mod every night for about a week. Is there anything i could do? I tried searching the forums but i didnt find any answers.

Thx for all answers.

There could be a background process or program running, that's not letting your MBP sleep. Try checking Activity Monitor for anything causing high CPU usage, or highlighted in red, and quit that and try again.

You could also check what in your startup login items, and perhaps one of those is the culprit? Go to system prefences>accounts>login items (or something like that from memory!)

Maybe others could chip in?
