iPod touch Later Orders Are Starting to Ship

I ordered a black 32GB iPod on October 5th, and my status just changed to "Preparing for Shipment." It changed last week to "Shipping in 5-7 business days," but I didn't think it would ship so soon. And my bank account has a pending charge. So I guess Apple has started to prepare later orders for shipment. I bet the demand went down a lot after the first week or so of pre-orders, so they are probably getting them out a lot faster because of that.

Does anyone know how long it takes to go from "Preparing for Shipment" to delivery? Is it about a week? Thanks. :):):):):):):):):)

It probably varies. I've only ordered a couple of items directly from Apple. They were both in that status 2 days
 
I had one placed for me because of a major problem I had with a very expensive apple product so they sent me a black 32 and started it yesterday and it went to prepared for shipping today already. This could be a rare circumstance but I really don't even need it but who would turn down free. Sorry if I jumped in front of anyone but if anyone would like it, just shoot me a message and let me know.
 
And now my iPod has officially shipped!!!! :):):):):):):):)
It's supposed to be here on Monday!! :):):):)
I wonder if it's because I got the black 32GB model that it shipped sooner than some other people's. I think that might be the most available model. I know there are some people who got the red one shortly after they were available for pre-order, and the still haven't gotten their's.
Either way, I'm happy!!!! :):):):):):):)

Cool! I ordered mine Oct 16 and will be here tomorrow on the 18th :)
