latest 10.6.8 update on my early 2011 MBP screwed up display port

So I installed the latest 10.6.8 updates from System Update last night.. Everything seemed to go ok, and it rebooted.

After boot, my external display using a mini-dp to DVI cable refuses to connect/work.

I tried resetting the SMC - no luck
I tried resetting the PRAM - no luck
I tried booting to Windows using bootcamp - No luck
I tried safe boot - no luck

I'm out of options. Any suggestions?
