Latest 21.5" iMac - Base Model - disappearing menu ?

Just bought a 21.5" base model iMac and it has a strange behavior (my MBA and rMBP do not show this)

When closing an app (that is NOT maximized to fulle screen), the top menu line will disappear.

If I click the desktop background or another program it comeback.


Any ideas ?

I've seen the same issue under 10.8 with both of my machines; an MBP and a Hac. It's not hardware-specific, but I don't know what causes it.

My total guess is vide driver related.

Nope. GeForce in one of my machines and Radeon in the other.
